We provide intensive guidance toward a position as an Interim Secretary in organizations that make a difference for the Netherlands every day. The next project starts on October 1, 2026.
What is the Switch program?
Switch is a unique work-study program for people ready for a fresh start.
Do you have the right skills, are you a strong communicator, and do you get energy from organizing and providing support?
Then we will help you grow into a professional support role that matches your qualities.
During the program:
- you will receive intensive guidance from experienced trainers and coaches;
- you will learn the tricks of the trade through training from sources such as Schoevers and Bestuursacademie;
- you will immediately put what you have learned into practice within socially relevant organizations;
- you will develop into a true Interim professional within the public sector.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a permanent contract with Public Support.
What does the Switch program look like?
Onboarding
You start with a two-day onboarding (including an overnight stay), where you will get to know Public Support, your colleagues, and the profession.
4-month training program
An average of 4 training days per month, online or at our location in Sassenheim.
During these months:
- you will retain your benefits*;
- you will be provided with a work-study placement at one of our clients;
- we will reimburse all your travel expenses;
- you will gain valuable work experience;
- and you will be fully prepared for your new role.
- Make an immediate impact
The remaining days, you will work at a public organization — such as municipalities, healthcare institutions, or educational institutions — where you will add value immediately.

What do we offer you after the program?
Upon successful completion, you will transition into a permanent position within Public Support:
- Permanent contract
- Starting salary between €3,000 – €3,750 (40 hours)
- Company car + fuel card (also for private use)
- 25 vacation days

Who is Switch intended for?
Switch is perfect for you if you:
- are ready for a career switch;
- enjoy providing support, organizing, and communicating;
- are flexible, stress-resistant, and proactive;
- want to work in the public sector;
- have a pleasant and connecting personality;
- are available for at least 32 hours per week;
- Higher professional education (HBO) level of thought and operation;
- are digitally proficient and have a good command of the Dutch language;
- possess a category B driver’s license;
- are willing to attend the training in Sassenheim.
